We plan the timing around the drive, then pack, load, transport and unload at the far end. The difference is in the planning, because a longer journey has to be mapped out before anyone lifts a box.
We are a family-run firm based in Rossendale, and we quote for and travel to Manchester and Preston as well. Our home patch is Lancashire, Greater Manchester and the North West. Handling national removals and storage from one firm means the move stays with us from the first survey to the last box carried in. How much notice do we need for a long-distance move?
It depends on the volume you are moving, the access at both ends and how far you are travelling, so we look at the details before we put a time on it. When we quote, we tell you how long we expect the job to take and what it needs, from the packing through to the drive itself.
The earlier you share your dates with us, the more we can plan around them, particularly once the extra drive time is built into the schedule. If your moving date shifts, let us know and we will work around it.

We have moved households from England into Scotland before. The drive north from Lancashire is a long one, so the timing is built around it and confirmed with you before the day. National removals over that distance are planned in full, with the volume, the mileage and the access at both ends worked out in advance.
