What our packing service covers
Our packing service handles the part of moving that takes the most time: wrapping, boxing and protecting everything before it goes on the van. You can hand over the whole house, or keep the packing you have already started and ask us to cover the rooms you would rather not tackle yourself.
How much we pack is up to you. A full pack means we bring the materials and work through the property room by room, from the kitchen cupboards to the loft. If you only want a hand with the breakables, we can pack the fragile and valuable items on their own: mirrors, art and sentimental items, or anything else you would rather not wrap by hand.
Good packing comes down to the right materials and a bit of care:
- Proper boxes, wrapping and tape brought to every job
- Heavy items packed in small boxes and lighter items in large ones
- Anything awkward padded before it moves
- Boxes labelled by room as we work, so unpacking is a matter of putting each box where it belongs rather than opening everything to find the phone charger
Whether it is a one-bedroom flat or a house with years of things behind it, our packing matches the size of the job. A smaller move might just be the breakables and the kitchen; a bigger one runs from the loft down to the garage.
How much does a packing service cost?
Packing is priced as part of your move rather than sold off a fixed rate, so there is no set figure to point to. The cost depends on the size of the property, how much you want packed, how much of it is fragile or needs specialist care, and whether it is booked alone or with the move.
When you hire us to pack, the packing is included in the price of the move, with no separate bill to settle. That is what one booking gets you: the packing and the move covered together, with nothing extra to arrange.

How long does packing a house take?
How long packing takes depends on the size of the property, how much you want packed and how much of it is fragile or needs care. A smaller flat with just the breakables done is a different job from a whole house with a loft and a shed to get through.
Rather than guess, we look at what you have before we put a time on it. When we quote, we tell you how long we expect the packing to take and what the day needs from you. The earlier you can share your moving date, the more room we have to fit the job in around it.

We reuse boxes wherever they are still up to the job, which cuts down on waste and keeps the move tidier. Everything is wrapped and secured so it travels well, and our insurance covers your goods on the road. We are a family-run firm based in Rossendale, moving local households since 2016.
